PGA Tour School Prep Event – PGA West Norman Course

Over the next few weeks, GST is hosting quality ‘prep’ events on the PGA Tour Q-School courses. The first of these events will be held on September 16-17 at the PGA West Norman Course in La Quinta. The Norman is hosting this year’s Q-School Pre-Qualifier…a first step for many on the road to the PGA Tour.

The 36-hole event is open to all professional players interested in a competitive look at the course prior to Q-School. Entry fees are $500. Amateurs may also participate in this event for a cost of $225. Registration deadline is this Monday, September 13.

Carlton Oaks

GST moves to Cartlon Oaks GC, October 13-15, for the a 54-hole ‘Prep” event prior to the PGA Tour Q-School. Carlton Oaks is the only public Dye Design Golf Course in San Diego. For the past two years, Carlton Oaks has hosted the First Stage of the PGA Tour Q-School and will do so again in 2010. For more information, visit their website at www.carltonoaksgolf.com.

Lamkin Pro Series

Lamkin Pro Series – 2010
January 21, 2010

Once again, Lamkin Corporation will sponsor a series of GST events in 2010. The series will be a combination of fifteen, 36- & 54-hole events beginning Feb 4-5 at Twin Oaks GC in San Marcos and ending Sep 1-2 at SilverRock Resort in La Quinta.

As sponsor of this series, Lamkin will offer a $500 bonus to the winner of each event IF the winner is playing with Lamkin Grips. Series membership is $75 and grips are provided for FREE. In order to receive the bonus, players must be a member. A longtime supporter of the Golden State Tour, Lamkin adds more to an already strong 2010 season.
